Students plan an adult learning session using a lesson plan template which is constructed to reflect adult learning principles and include learning activities and assessment(s) aligned to distinct learning outcomes. The template can be applied to the Micro-Teaching clinic course.

In this course, students examine the instructor’s role in learner engagement and motivation, and factors affecting learner motivation. Through discussion and demonstration of instructional strategies, students explore how to enhance learner engagement and motivation.

This course is a prerequisite for subsequent offerings and must be taken first in the program.

This module provides an introduction to facilitation skills for supporting adult learning. By providing structure, processes and frameworks, facilitators enable others to reach their individual or group goals.

Participants will engage in systematic planning process designed to help individuals prepare a syllabus based on a course outline, and to develop a training plan for the workplace.

This course introduces assessment and evaluation strategies based on adult learning theories and practices. Participants will apply concepts about assessment in developing evaluation methods suitable for different types of learning in both the classroom and workplace.
