The movie that changed his life.

After a setback in 2015, Keith happened across the documentary about the iconic Canadian rock band Rush, which resonated deeply. Neil Peart, already recognized as one of the most influential and accomplished drummers of his time, revealed that he felt the need to start his journey again as a student of his craft. At that moment, he saw his path.

Keith has acquired a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Business Administration, college diplomas in Computer Programming and Advertising and Marketing Communications and a post-graduate certificate in Teaching and Training Adults. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. from the University of Windsor in Education. Never stop learning.

Keith has dedicated his career as a facilitator of education to removing barriers to success in the classroom. Offering his students open educational resource textbooks means that every student can participate in classes and study effectively.

He understands that the face of education must change to keep up with the changing times. He explains, “we have based our education system on waterfall principles. Once you finish one task, you move to the next. These ideals are no longer relevant in our classroom where we have not just a multi-cultural aspect, but a multi-generational and multiple abilities in the same room.”

To help facilitate, inspire, and empower each student to achieve their dreams.

Educational Leadership

As a lifelong learner, Keith achieved two college diplomas (Computer Programming & Advertising and Marketing Communications), a BA, and an MBA. He has now begun his Ph.D. journey in Educational Policy and Leadership. To paraphrase an old saying, “he believes that we must learn as if we will live forever.”

Classroom Leadership

Keith has witnessed the daily struggles of today’s students first-hand. Attending college with his eldest son has helped him realize that we need to rethink the classroom and make it inclusive to everyone as a system. This evolution includes breaking down the barriers that stand in the way of student academic achievement.

Mentorship

We all make mistakes along the way and often we yearn for the proverbial “do-over”. Keith has embraced mentorship inside and outside of the classroom. In doing so, the students benefit from his experience and avoid the mistakes he has made along the way. He believes that this is the way to give the students the best chance for success.
